DECEMBER 15, 2003—The trustees of the Robert A. and Virginia Heinlein Prize Trust pledged on August 27, 2003, to Mr. Alan Milner, director and chair, recruitment and fundraising committees, of The Heinlein Society, that the Prize Trust will match contributions to the Heinlein Society for the remainder of 2003 up to a total of $15,000 in matching funds.

Arthur M. Dula, trustee, reiterated that pledge at the Heinlein Awards dinner on August 29, 2003, in Toronto. The Heinlein Society raised a total of $3,400 between August 27 and September 1, leaving more than $11,000 in the matching funds pledge.

Since Torcon we have raised another $6,030 applicable to the matching funds pledge.

There remains $5,570 in matching funds available until the end of this year. If every registered member of The Heinlein Society donates $25 before the end of this year, we WILL achieve our goal and take full advantage of the Prize Trust's generous offer.

Every dollar you donate before January 1, 2004, will count twice!
